Eric Lefkofsky, Co-Founder of Tempus Technologies leads the way for cancer research

Extending beyond the world of science and medicine, the fight for cancer relies on data and information that changes the way we use the internet to transform the health care system. This information is the key to personalizing cancer treatment and patient care because it all starts on a molecular level, which is why the collection of this data is crucial.

Tempus, a Chicago based company is leading the research industry with the development of the world’s largest library of molecular and clinical data. It’s also serves as an operating system that makes this data useful. By collecting massive amounts of data through connections with hospitals and academic institutions, Eric lefkofsky and his team created a two-fold system that allows doctors access to clinical trials that help them determine the most effective treatments for their patients. Lefkofsky saw the treatment first hand when someone close to him was diagnosed with cancer. This process left him feeling dismayed by how little modern technology was used in the treatment process. He learned that cancer research wasn’t as easily understood as it should, even though this data has been constantly collected. Tempus Technologies bridges this gap and helps doctors make more informed decisions based on the data presented to them.

Eric Lefkosky, a Philanthropist and his wife founded the Lefkofsky Family Foundation in 2006, and both serve as a member of the Giving Pledge donating part of their earnings to charities. Lefkofsky co-founded Tempus Technologies and says that “Tempus is unique as it is an end to end solution.”

Lefkofsky serves on the Board of Trustees of the Lurie’s Children Hospital in Chicago, as well as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company based in Chicago.

Omar became a franchise at Sushi Food Itoo when he was only 21 years. He shows tremendous commitment to the course and has so far expanded the venture into 13 branches, which is almost ten percent of all the company branches. All the branches are located in several sections of Puebla, Mexico, and Veracruz.

As Omar accepted the BFW award, he said that it belonged not only to him but also to his entire team of 400 workers. The event was attended by CEOS from 34 countries including Mexico, Portugal, Argentina, and Brazil. Diego Elizarrarrás, the chief organizer of the BFW Mexico, termed Omar as an important change factor in the relationship between franchisees and franchising. Alfonso De Angoitia Noriega And His Co-op Plans

Nobody was really surprised when Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega, the actual executive V.P. of a company called Grupo Televisa, was making a purchase for a $16.5 million apartment. It has some interesting architectural features that were previously not allowed in the Co-op. Grandfathered in, however, the features still exist and offer some of the best details to the property. The aluminum windows are a gorgeous addition.

The Co-op has made some serious changes over the years as well. Here are some of the ways that Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega has helped maintain the Co-ops original structure for added elegance.

Maria de la Concepcion de Angola Legorreta is one of the most accomplished Barron of the Spanish-speaking media world. His accomplishments are world-wide. His accolades stated simply in his native country of Mexico, is that of being one of the best financial attorneys for business today. His talents and knowledge have helped him to achieve this and have led to his ability to buy and sell some of the best real estates in the world. No details are omitted in his lavish lifestyle either.

Paying the full asking price for the prestigious address on Fifth Avenue in New York City, Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega and his wife, Maria de la Concepcion de Angola Legorreta, were not about to allow the building to fall victim to the architectural times. The pair has made a lot of changes for the better in historical accountability. It is impressive for sure. Now they are selling it, at no doubt a hefty profit.

The whole process involved a lawsuit against Landmarks Preservation Commission for the right to keep the windows as they are, rather than changing them back to what the commission required. Having won that battle was undoubtedly a significant victory for the couple.

There is no doubt that the feature that was allowed to remain, that held the greatest value for the couple was the fact that the location is near their $44 million mansion, previously purchased in 2010. Perhaps the goal is one to match that decadence. If so, they are well on their way to achieving that goal.

Sam Boraie Has Made A Tremendous Impact All Over New Jersey

New Brunswick, New Jersey has been the home of the Johnson and Johnson, the household product creator and manufacturer for decades. Rutgers, New Jersey’s state university, was founded in New Brunswick. New Brunswick is one of those New Jersey cities that went through hard times in the 1960s and 1970s. The downtown area was riddled with crime. Businesses left the city, and so did the people that lived there. When Boraie Development was founded in the 1970s, the buildings in the downtown area were vacant, and for the most part, uninhabitable. Boraie Development started buying vacant buildings on Albany Street during that dark period in New Brunswick’s history. The company’s mission was to bring downtown New Brunswick back to life. Sam Boraie and the Boraie family had a dream, and that dream is a reality today.

The first Boraie Development project was the Albany Street Plaza Tower One. The multi-story office building was considered a massive building with 250,000 square feet of office space, in the 1980s. New Brunswick suddenly had its first high-rise. The response to the project was better than expected. Boraie Development continued to buy property downtown. The next project was Albany Street Plaza Tower Two. That building added, even more, office space downtown. Sam Boraie realized that a number of people employed by the businesses that rented office space want to live downtown. Boraie went to work on the One Spring Street condominium building. One Spring Street is a New York City style building with 121 private residences, and 40,000 square feet of office space. There’s a 400-space parking garage and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The building sold out in two months after it was completed in 2003.

The Aspire luxury condo building as another Boraie project that is giving professionals that work downtown a place to live. The 17-story Aspire building has 370,000 square feet of luxury condo and office space and a four-story parking garage.

But Sam Boraie is interested in more than building office and residential space around New Jersey. Sam Boraie is on the board for the food-oriented nonprofit organization, Elijah’s Promise. Elijah’s Promise gives food to people that need it. The nonprofit has a café so people have access to food when they need it. Those people pay when they can. There’s also a soup kitchen that offers hot meals. And, Elijah’s Promise even has a catering service.

Sam also sits on the board member of the New Jersey State Theater. The State Theater offers more than 30,000 students educational programs every year. For over a decade. There has been an influx in the number of companies that are looking for something new and kick out the traditional employee. Most companies from around the globe are out to ditch their redundant and outdated systems and replacing them with the informal, frequent check-ins between the employees and managers. At Scoutahead, the company’s platform is to improve and facilitate the real-time feedback that matters most.

While the system has been used for more than a century, why are the companies looking for these better ways of conducting business and performance reviews? For a start, this includes the paperwork generated to mountains. There has also been a critical review by the traditional company. Innovation and creativity have been restructured to promote a collaborative team towards a more focused environment at the working place. Not to mention the subordinates and supervisors disdain for the appraisal process. According to the Harvard business piece of review, “The management performance Revolution” has gathered various business imperatives that make companies adopt these new ways of recruitment for increased performance.

  • Innovation is the main focus of modern business. For this reason the future needs and continually dynamic. While these days businesses struggle to stay in business, they no longer have a clear annual cycle of events. Most of their projects are seeking the achievement of short-term goals. For most, their goals keep changing with time. In most cases, annual work can make a poor assessment at the end.
  • For the companies to increase management efforts and their talent, staff development is increasingly the main focus of most businesses. For this reason, forms are tasking employees with managing their growth. This action is fueled by rich, frequent feedback to their supervisors.

As a matter of fact, traditional appraisal performance has less sense to the companies. The HR management systems now adapt the moving annual appraisals. Scouthead fills the gap between a backward company and the next-generation platform.

Raj Fernando is the Chief Executive Officer of Scoutahead. Before founding Scoutahead, he was the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Chopper Trading.

Adrián José Velasquez Figueroa: How to take a better smartphone picture

With the advances in technology every year there are so many different ways to capture a memorable moment. Most of us can agree that getting the best photograph possible is important. Smartphone users that understand lighting and depth can create the best scene. Adrián José Velasquez Figueroa da breaks down tips for better photograph quality:

Wait an extra second

Smartphone cameras are now equipped with some of the highest quality accessories on the market. These advanced cameras on can take clear and sharp pictures almost instantly. Waiting an extra second to line up the shot perfectly can create a better outcome.

Take advantage of composition

The key is to take note of balance. Position the camera so that horizon stands in the middle of the screen. The viewer will not know what to soak in first.

Stand closer to scene

The problem with smartphone cameras is they are still small and are not equipped with the best zoom. That means focusing in on a scene will cause blurriness and excess noise. To capture a better image you will have to move the camera closer to the scene.

Do not use flash

The light that results from the flash of a camera is quite powerful. It can create excess shadows and highlights that disrupt the overall meaning of the scene. Unwanted glare is always troublesome according to Figueroa.

Compare different applications

The default smartphone camera is great and will produce quality pictures, but some applications are better than others. A few third-party applications will offer more tools than others.

Take note of all tools in default camera application

Applications can have all of the useful tools needed to produce the best looking photograph. There are options for brightness, camera speed, and motion blur.

Several smartphones will automatically take a few different times of photographs on Facebook with the press of a button. You get a regular image and a High dynamic range (HDR High Dynamic Range) image.

Compare filters

There are several filters available for purchase as well as embedded into social media accounts. Each network has all kinds of combinations of effects to make the perfect photograph.

Keep the lens clean

It can be hard to keep an electronic lens clean when constantly transporting it around or dropping it by accident. A dirty lens only hurts the images. Keeping a cloth is not a bad idea.
