Sam Boraie Has Made A Tremendous Impact All Over New Jersey

New Brunswick, New Jersey has been the home of the Johnson and Johnson, the household product creator and manufacturer for decades. Rutgers, New Jersey’s state university, was founded in New Brunswick. New Brunswick is one of those New Jersey cities that went through hard times in the 1960s and 1970s. The downtown area was riddled with crime. Businesses left the city, and so did the people that lived there. When Boraie Development was founded in the 1970s, the buildings in the downtown area were vacant, and for the most part, uninhabitable. Boraie Development started buying vacant buildings on Albany Street during that dark period in New Brunswick’s history. The company’s mission was to bring downtown New Brunswick back to life. The first Boraie Development project was the Albany Street Plaza Tower One. The multi-story office building was considered a massive building with 250,000 square feet of office space, in the 1980s. New Brunswick suddenly had its first high-rise. The response to the project was better than expected. Boraie Development continued to buy property downtown. The next project was Albany Street Plaza Tower Two. That building added, even more, office space downtown. Sam Boraie realized that a number of people employed by the businesses that rented office space want to live downtown. Boraie went to work on the One Spring Street condominium building. One Spring Street is a New York City style building with 121 private residences, and 40,000 square feet of office space. There’s a 400-space parking garage and 10,000 square feet of retail space. Sam Boraie may live in New Brunswick, but he has helped bring back cities like Atlantic City and Newark. Sam Boraie teamed up with Basketball legend, Shaq O’Neil and developed the popular One Riverview building in Newark. Boraie Development also continues to revitalize New Brunswick. The Aspire luxury condo building as another Boraie project that is giving professionals that work downtown a place to live. The 17-story Aspire building has 370,000 square feet of luxury condo and office space and a four-story parking garage.
