Mom surprises daughter with first car after turning life around | Happily TV
A daughter who overcame mental health issues was brought to tears of joy when her proud mom surprised her with her first-ever car after helping her turn her life around. Jaidalyn Santiago, from Springfield, Massachusetts, struggled with postpartum depression and a severe eating disorder, which saw her weigh just 70 pounds, her mom, Jacqueline, said. As much as Jacqueline tried to help, nothing seemed to work, which made her deeply worried about her daughter's wellbeing – but in the past year, Jaidalyn has seen her life turn around. Having focused on her mental and physical wellbeing, the stay-at-home mom was assisted by Jacqueline, a personal trainer, who designed a gym routine for her daughter, which saw her work out with her mom five times a week. Jaidalyn, a mom of two, would also help her mother part-time, but a lack of transportation limited her in what she could do for her mom's business, herself, and for her kids. And so, having seen how much effort her daughter had been putting in, Jacqueline decided to surprise her daughter with her first car. On April 27, at Jacqueline's home in Chicopee, Massachusetts, Jaidalyn opened a gift, which she thought was some new workout gear and sneakers. But when the mom-of-two looked inside the shoe box, she discovered the keys to her brand-new vehicle – a gesture that immediately made her burst into tears while her daughter, Arya, watched on nearby. Jaidalyn then headed straight outside to check out the ride, in an emotional moment captured on video by Jacqueline. The mom and daughter duo, who are now planning to become business partners in the future, wanted to share Jaidalyn's story in the hope of inspiring others who may be going through similar issues.

Tata Nexon is India’s top-selling SUV in FY26, ahead of Creta and Ertiga; full list
Top Comeback: India’s best-selling SUVs list in FY26 is led by the Tata Nexon with 216,054 units, reclaiming the No. 1 utility vehicle position from FY25. It rose from sixth rank and stayed ahead of the Hyundai Creta. This is Nexon’s fourth time at the top after leading in FY22, FY23 and FY24. Past Performance: In FY25, the Nexon had recorded 163,087 units, a 5% year-on-year decline, and lost the top spot to the Tata Punch. Its return to the lead in FY26 reflects recovery in demand and improved positioning within India’s best-selling SUVs segment across the fiscal year. Sales Drivers: Demand for the Nexon increased after GST 2.0 rationalisation reduced prices from end-September 2025. Sales were higher in the second half of FY26 than in the first. The model led monthly sales in September, October, November, January and February, reflecting consistent demand during key periods. Milestone Impact: By February 2026, Nexon's cumulative sales had reached 1,016,868 units since its 2017 launch. Sold with petrol, diesel, electric and CNG options, it contributed 34% to Tata Motors’ total FY26 sales of 631,387 units, including 92,120 electric vehicles. Runner-Up Hold: The Hyundai Creta ranked second with 201,921 units, up 4% from 194,871 units in FY25. It recorded its highest annual sales and remained the top midsize SUV. The Creta also contributed 34.52% to Hyundai Motor India’s total passenger vehicle sales of 584,906 units. MPV Position: The Maruti Ertiga ranked third with 198,855 units, rising from seventh position. It became Maruti Suzuki’s top-selling utility vehicle, although the Dzire sedan, with 229,130 units, was the company’s best-selling passenger vehicle and India’s highest-selling passenger vehicle overall. Punch Update: The Tata Punch ranked fourth with 183,980 units, down 6% from 196,567 units in FY25 and slipping three ranks after leading last year. Buyers delayed purchases before the updated versions launched in January and February 2026. It later recorded its highest monthly sales in March and crossed 700,000 cumulative units. Mid Rankings: The Maruti Brezza ranked fifth with 180,104 units, down 5% and two ranks. The Mahindra Scorpio followed with 178,800 units, up 8%, maintaining its position and accounting for 27% of Mahindra & Mahindra’s record SUV sales of 660,276 units. Compact Segment: The Maruti Fronx ranked seventh with 172,363 units, down three positions, and crossed 400,000 cumulative sales. The Mahindra Thar moved to eighth with 126,261 units, up 49%, driven mainly by the five-door Thar Roxx variant. Top Ten Close: The Hyundai Venue ranked ninth with 117,737 units, with demand improving after GST changes and a new-generation launch. The Kia Sonet ranked tenth with 114,142 units, up 14%, and outsold the Seltos for the second year. Mid Table: The Toyota Innova ranked eleventh with 112,186 units, up 5%, with the Hycross contributing about 65% of sales. The Mahindra Bolero followed at twelfth with 110,136 units, up 16% after updates launched in October 2025. Rising Models: The Mahindra XUV3XO remained around the same rank with growth, while the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder moved up with 99,890 units, up 65%. This increase added 39,502 units and supported Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s record sales. Lower Tier: The Mahindra XUV700 ranked fifteenth with 87,412 units, down 6%, slipping one place. The Maruti Grand Vitara fell to sixteenth with 86,103 units, down 31%, partly due to competition from the newer Maruti Victoris. Closing List: The Kia Seltos ranked seventeenth with 83,747 units, up 15%, with stronger sales after its January 2026 update. The Kia Carens ranked eighteenth with 80,629 units, up 25%, followed by the Hyundai Exter and the Maruti Victoris, completing the top twenty.
